The new project is to build a 'Moonfish 14' from Jacques Mertens' Bateau:

More details can be seen on the Bateau website;

The boys are after something a little more racy than our 'Lune Whammel':

 The Moonfish is a plywood/epoxy Sunfish clone.  The Sunfish isn't all that common here in the UK - the niche is mostly filled by the Laser 1.  I wasn't too keen on another fibreglass hull - hence the decision to build the Moonfish.  The first set of plans I purchased were lost in the move and, having ordered another set, it has taken a while to get the Bill of Materials together and clear the decks for this project to start.

Well today was Day 1.  The transom has been marked out and cut out:

 It is a small step ..... but a beginning !
